Studio HanaBi was founded in 2006 by Shlomi Hayun and Avishag Shaulski, graduates of the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School, Jerusalem. The studio grew into two complementary practices: video production — filming and editing for institutions, companies and private clients — and media digitization, where it became one of Israel's leading film scanning labs.
Digitization at archival grade
The studio's frame-by-frame scanning of 8mm, Super 8, 16mm and 9.5mm film serves the National Library of Israel, cinematheques, archives and documentary filmmakers — alongside hundreds of families preserving home movies.
Production roots
Coming from filmmaking, we treat every reel as footage, not just data: exposure, color and rhythm matter. That is why restoration and color work at Studio HanaBi is graded by editors' eyes, not just software.
